EPL: Man United suffer major injury blow ahead Fulham clash

Manchester United have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their 2024/25 Premier League first match with Fulham on Friday.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag confirmed following his side’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City on Saturday that defender Harry Maguire has suffered a ‘little knock’ ahead of the Red Devils’ first game of the 2024-25 Premier League season against Fulham at Old Trafford.

Maguire was named in the starting XI that lost to Pep Guardiola’s side via penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The England international only played 59 minutes of the encounter before he was taken off by by Ten Hag.

When quizzed about the defender’s fitness, Ten Hag told the media after the match: “[There is] a little knock with Harry [Maguire].

“We hope he can keep fit and available for next week when we start the season.”
