EPL: Nigeria’s Adebayo makes history after scoring in Luton Town’s latest match

Elijah Adebayo has joined the exclusive list of Nigerian players to score ten goals in a single Premier League season.

Adebayo achieved the feat after scoring in Luton’s 1-1 draw with Everton on Friday night.

The Super Eagles hopeful cancelled out Dominic Calvert- Lewin’s opener for Everton.

He is now the tenth Nigerian player to record double digits in a single Premier League campaign.

The other Nigerian players that have managed double digits in a single Premier League season include Efan Ekoku, Nwanwko Kanu, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Obafemi Martins, Peter Odemwingie, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Adebayo was born in England to Nigerian parents.

He has already expressed his desire to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
