EPL: Pochettino commends Madueke’s assist as emblematic of Chelsea’s resurgence

In Sunday’s commanding 5-0 victory over West Ham, Chelsea displayed a resounding resurgence, highlighted by goals from Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, and Noni Madueke in the first half, followed by a brace from Nicolas Jackson after the break.

Despite enduring a challenging season, Chelsea’s recent form has seen them lose just one of their last 12 Premier League fixtures, propelling them to seventh place in the standings.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino singled out Noni Madueke’s selfless assist for Jackson’s goal as a pivotal moment, emphasizing the team’s growth and unity.

Reflecting on criticisms faced earlier in the season, Pochettino emphasized the importance of learning from mistakes and praised the team’s evolving cohesion and belief.

Speaking in a post-match press conference, Pochettino stated, “The assist for Noni to Jackson showcased our ability to learn and adapt. It exemplifies the unity and progression within the squad.

“It’s a testament to the principles we’ve been working on, and it’s gratifying to see the team coming together and embracing these values.”
