Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has said he can’t see Liverpool winning the Premier League title this season.
Neville was reacting to Liverpool’s Premier League 2-0 defeat to Everton on Wednesday.
Recall that two goals from Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton the victory over Jurgen Klopp’s side at Goodison Park.
Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast, the former England right-back said: “It’s going to be very difficult for them to win the league.
“It’s not over because things can happen – Brighton could somehow beat Manchester City and Arsenal could lose in the North London Derby.
“But I think they will go into that dressing room tonight and it’ll be a sullen atmosphere. They will know it’s probably gone.
“That is where I’d be at. I can’t see them winning the title from here. It would be difficult anyway but from here? No.
“In my mind, you’d almost have to be perfect if you were Liverpool and Arsenal, and I think losing tonight is a real problem for them.”
Liverpool are now three points behind league leaders Arsenal and will drop to third position if Manchester City beat Brighton on Thursday.
