Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has explained the reasons behind his decision to leave Arsenal for Premier League side Southampton.
Arsenal had on Friday announced that the England international had left the Emirates Stadium for Southampton on a permanent transfer.
Speaking to Southampton’s website, Ramsdale also expressed his happiness for joining the Saints on transfer deadline day.
“I’m absolutely delighted. The way the manager wants to play, the way he was when I spoke to him, he was just full of so much enthusiasm,” Ramsdale said.
“I’d never met him before, but he made me feel about eight feet tall, which is just what you want.”
