England midfielder, Declan Rice has explained why he snubbed Manchester City to join Arsenal last summer.
Recall that both Man City and Arsenal wanted to sign Rice.
But he opted to join the Gunners over Pep Guardiola’s side in a deal worth £100m from West Ham United.
When it was pointed out to him that he could well have been playing alongside Rodri at Man City than battling the Citizens for the title, Rice told The Athletic: “I know.
“But this project seemed more exciting and that is why I chose to come to Arsenal, because I believe we are on to big things here.”
