EPL Table: Arsenal secures crucial victory against Tottenham to stay top position

Arsenal on Sunday edged past Tottenham in a thrilling 3-2 victory to maintain their lead in the Premier League table with four points ahead of title rivals Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s men now look on course to earn their first Premier League title since 2004.

The Gunners dominated the first half, leading through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s own goal and Bukayo Saka’s strike.

Kai Havertz then headed home from a corner to give them a three-goal lead at the break.

Although Tottenham fought back with goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min, Arsenal held on for the crucial win.

The victory also dealt a blow to Tottenham’s Champions League chances, with Spurs remaining fifth in the table, seven points behind Aston Villa with two games in hand.
