Liverpool on Saturday moved top of the Premeir League table after Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
The Reds came from a goal down to beat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield, thanks to second half goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah.
Their Premeir League rivals Manchester City dropped to second position on the log after losing 2-1 to Bournemouth in an away clash.
Similarly, Nottingham Forest overtook Arsenal on the Premier League table after beating West Ham United 3-0 at home on Saturday.
Arsenal had earlier lost 1-0 against Newcastle United in an early kick-off.
Nottingham Forest now sit on third position on the Premier League table with one point ahead of fourth place Arsenal as at Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, should Aston Villa and Chelsea win their matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on Sunday, both teams will overtake Arsenal and Nottingham Forest on the log.
