Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that the Blues struggles without Cole Palmer in the team.
Pochettino said this while speaking about Palmer’s availability for their upcoming Premier League tie against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Palmer was out of contention when Chelsea were thrashed 5-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in mid-week.
After missing the England international in that game, Chelsea will be pleased to have the former Manchester City star back in the squad against Aston Villa.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Pochettino said (via Football London):
“We assume he is going to be available and part of the squad [against Aston Villa], yes.
“Cole is a very good player for us, a key player for us and he is showing we struggle a little bit without him.”
Palmer has been Chelsea’s best player this season.
He has already scored 20 Premier League goals this season, with nine assists to his name.
