This was possible after their 2-0 win over Hungary on Wednesday.
The encounter was their second fixture in the competition.
Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the first half before captain Ilkay Gundogan added another in the second half.
Germany have now recorded back-to-back wins at the tournament.
The hosts had defeated Scotland 5-1 in the opening game.
For Hungary, they are on the verge of getting eliminated. They lost 3-1 to Switzerland in their first game.
The Switzerland can also book their place in the next round if they beat Scotland later tonight.
