FA Cup final: Man Utd make decision on sacking Ten Hag

Amidst growing pressure, Manchester United will not terminate their contract with manager Erik ten Hag before the end of the season after Sunday’s FA Cup chaos against Coventry City.

United had dominated the game and seemed to proceed to a second consecutive FA Cup final with a 3-0 lead against Championship opposition.

This was thanks to goals scored by Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes.

However, Coventry City scored three times in 25 minutes, which led to extra time.

They then had a shot hitting the bar before they were denied a dramatic winner after being checked by VAR.

United survived to qualify for the FA Cup final, defeating Coventry City in a penalty shootout with a score of 4-2.

Despite mounting pressure on Ten Hag’s position as United’s coach, The Guardian has reported that he will keep his job until after the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25th.

The INEOS chief, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who was reportedly present at Sunday’s game will keep the Dutchman for the remainder of the season even with the woeful performance against Coventry.

Ratcliffe and the United hierarchy are understood to have taken into account the club’s significant injuries as a factor of their underwhelming season.
