FA Cup: He lacks physicality – Keane criticizes Man Utd star, downplays comparisons to Rice, Bellingham

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has criticized midfielder Kobbie Mainoo during the Red Devils’ FA Cup semi-final clash with Coventry on Sunday.

Keane said the England youngster lacks physicality compared to other midfielders like Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.

He also lauded Mainoo’s smart and tidy playing style, adding that he has scored important goals.

Asked about Mainoo not being ‘big’ like Rice and Bellingham, Keane said: “He lacks that physicality. He’s not six foot. But he’s smart.

“He’s neat and tidy. He’s had a brilliant few months and there’s a chance he will go with England [to Euro 2024 this summer].”
