The Portuguese’s estimated total earnings is around $260 million.
The 39-year-old’s on-field income amounted to $200m, and his off-field earnings were $60m.
In second position is Spanish golfer, Jon Rahm, who made a sensational switch to Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf.
Rahm, who is currently the world No. 5 earn $218m.
Third on the list is Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi , who earn $135m.
The Argentine has earned $65m in on-field earnings but $70m off it, thanks to deals with big brands like Adidas and Apple.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is fourth at $128.2m, while fellow NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo ($111m) of the Milwaukee Bucks rounds out the top five.
Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé, has dropped down to sixth ($110m).
His former PSG team-mate, Neymar, who now plays for Al Hilal, is seventh ($108m) despite sitting out the majority of the season with a torn ACL.
