Former Nigeria international, Victor Ikpeba, has cautioned newly appointed Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Amokachi to prioritize team harmony, asserting Finidi George’s leadership role.
Ikpeba emphasized the need to avoid past chaos within the coaching staff, citing the unsuccessful collaboration between Emmanuel Amuneke and Augustine Eguavoen.
Amokachi, appointed on a per-game basis, previously served under the late Stephen Keshi.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Ikpeba made it clear that Finidi was now “the boss”.
He also pointed to the “chaos that happened within the coaching crew three years ago” as something to learn from.
