Real Madrid head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has chosen a new captain after for his team following Nacho Fernandez’s departure from the club as a free agent this summer.
Nacho is all set to sign for newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
According to COPE, Ancelotti has installed Luka Modric as the new Real captain.
The likes of Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez will be handed the vice-captaincy roles.
Real Madrid still have a lot of experience within their squad, but have lost two key players in Nacho and the retiring Toni Kroos.
This is the fourth consecutive year the Los Blancos will lose their captain, after the departures of Marcelo, Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos in the past.
