Brazilian international, Neymar Junior, has revealed that his compatriot, Thiago Silva, is the toughest player he has ever faced in his footballing career.
Neymar and Silva played together at Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team.
The duo also played against each other in the UEFA Champions League. Neymar was playing for Barcelona, while Silva was playing for PSG at the time.
Speaking with VIVA Sport, Neymar was asked: “Who is the toughest player you have played against?”
The 32-year-old forward replied: “Thiago Silva.”
Silva has played for clubs Chelsea, PSG and AC Milan.
He left Chelsea
for Brazilian club Palmeiras as a free agent after his contract with Premier League west London expired after the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
