Paris Olympics 2024: Nigeria’s Favour Ofili advance to women’s 200m semi-final stage

Nigeria’s Favour Ofili has qualified for the semifinals of women’s 200m at the Paris Olympics Games.

Ofili qualified in the semi-final after executing a good race plan to win heat 6 in a time of 22.24s on Sunday.

The 21-year-old defeated Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith who finished 2nd in 22.28s and Gina Bass-Bittaye 3rd in 22.84s.

Recall that Ofili disclosed she will not take part in the 100m race at the ongoing Olympics.

She had explained that the reason was because of administrative failures by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, and the Nigerian Olympic Committee, NOC.
