Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has revealed ‘only reason’ why manager Jurgen Klopp and winger Mohamed Salah clashed on the touchline against West Ham during both teams’ Premier League tie on Saturday.
Recall that Salah was left on the bench for the game and Klopp decided to bring the Egyptian on with Liverpool leading 2-1.
But while they were waiting on the touchline for a break in play, Michail Antonio scored a header to make it 2-2 at the London Stadium.
Salah was then caught in a heated argument with Klopp and had to be pulled back by Darwin Nunez.
However, according to Carragher, it is because Salah took too long to be ready to come on as a substitute against the Hammers.
In a tweet via his X handle, the former England defender wrote: “The only reason a manager would be unhappy in this situation, is the player took too long to be ready to come on.”
