  3. Borussia Dortmund on Friday confirmed the appointment of Nuri Sahin as head coach, with the 35 year old putting pen to paper on a three year contract. Following Edin Terzic’s decision to step down as head coach, Borussia Dortmund have moved quickly to appoint Nuri Sahin as his replacement.
  4. Tiger Woods has admitted his US Open career could be coming to an end after a disappointing missed cut at Pinehurst No 2. The three-time US Open champion needed a special exemption from the USGA in order to play in this year’s contest, the first time in his professional career he has failed to qualify for a major on his own merit, and he subsequently struggled to rounds of 74 and 73 in North Carolina.
  5. Argentina on Friday defeated Guatemala 4-1 in their final warm up friendly tie before beginning their Copa America title defense. Two goals each from Lautaro Martinez and Lionel Messi gave Argentina the victory at Commanders Field outside the U.S. capital.
