3. British Tennis star Emma Raducanu put in a strong performance but ultimately fell to defeat to world No.1 Iga Swiatek in the Stuttgart Open quarter-finals on Friday. Raducanu, ranked world No.303 after a long spell away from the WTA Tour with injury problems and triple surgery, went into the clash as a huge underdog.
4. Manchester United have announced the appointment of Jason Wilcox as the club’s technical director. Wilcox stepped down from his role as Southampton’s director of football earlier this month and takes over the reins at Old Trafford with immediate effect.
5. Crystal Palace and West Ham United are keenly interested in Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
