- Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is closing in on a return to management with Bayern Munich, according to reports in Spain on Friday. The Frenchman has not managed a club since leaving Real Madrid in May 2021 but has attracted interest from both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
- British Tennis star Emma Raducanu put in a strong performance but ultimately fell to defeat to world No.1 Iga Swiatek in the Stuttgart Open quarter-finals on Friday. Raducanu, ranked world No.303 after a long spell away from the WTA Tour with injury problems and triple surgery, went into the clash as a huge underdog.
- Manchester United have announced the appointment of Jason Wilcox as the club’s technical director. Wilcox stepped down from his role as Southampton’s director of football earlier this month and takes over the reins at Old Trafford with immediate effect.
- Crystal Palace and West Ham United are keenly interested in Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. Both Premier League clubs aren’t the only one credited with an interest in the 27-year-old as Italian Serie giants Juventus are also interested in him while Tottenham and Newcastle are also keeping tabs on the player, according to TuttoJuve via CaughtOffside.
