Arsenal are considering a summer transfer move for former Tottenham Hotspur winger Marcus Edwards.
Edwards, who currently plays for Sporting CP, revitalized his career in Portugal with Vitoria de Guimaraes, netting 20 goals in 96 matches.
His displays earned him a permanent move to Sporting CP, where he registered four goals and four assists in his second full season.
He also helped Sporting secured their 20th Primeira Liga title.
Despite his talent, Edwards’ inconsistency has frustrated manager Ruben Amorim, leading to his reduced role towards the end of the 2023/24 season.
But, according to O Jogo, Premier League clubs are now watching Edwards closely, and a return to England remains a possibility this summer with Arsenal interested in the 25-year-old.
The Premier League North London club are keen to strengthen their manager Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer after missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season.
