Transfer: Chelsea goalkeeper leaves Maresca’s side, joins new club

Chelsea goalkeeper, Ted Curd has left the Blues to join National League South side Hampton & Richmond.

Curd, 18, joined Hampton & Richmond on a loan deal.

This means that Curd would not have the chance to play under Chelsea’s new manager Enzo Maresca next season.

Curd’s transfer deal was confirmed by the Premier League west London club in a statement on their website on Sunday.

“Chelsea goalkeeper, Ted Curd has joined National League South side Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan,” Chelsea’s statement read.

“Good luck this season, Ted!”

Curd was named on the Chelsea’s first-team bench for the home leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough and an away match at Aston Villa during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.
