Transfer: De Gea finally gets new club after leaving Manchester United

Spainish goalkeeper, David De Gea, is in talks to join Genoa this summer, according to The Athletic.

De Gea has been without a club since he left Manchester United in the summer of 2023.

The 33-year-old left the Red Devils after his contract expired and he failed to agree fresh terms.

He is now set to sign for the Serie A side as a free agent.

Genoa finished 11th in the Italian top flight last season after being promoted from Serie B in 2022/23.

It was reported that De Gea was attracting interest from clubs in Italy, the United States and Saudi Arabia.

It was also claimed that an unnamed English club had expressed interest in his signature.
