Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, wants attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva to remain at Etihad amid reported interest from Barcelona.
Silva has been heavily linked with a move to Barca this summer.
He was instrumental for Man City as they won the Premier League last season.
Speaking at the Legends Trophy golf tournament, Guardiola said the Portuguese is a fundamental player for City, expressing his desire for him to stay at the club.
“Barca has never called. There has been a lot of talk for years but no one has called us,” Guardiola said.
“I hope he stays, he’s a fundamental player for us, a gem of a player, as a person. If you want a player you’ve to call him, and it has not happened.”
