Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has opted for Chelsea over Paris Saint-Germain as his next destination, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport via Spazio Napoli.
Following negotiations between Osimhen and his current club Napoli, an agreement has been reached to part ways this summer.
Osimhen’s impressive record includes 75 goals and 18 assists in 130 appearances across various competitions for Napoli.
The report added both PSG and Chelsea have initiated initial discussions with Napoli regarding Osimhen’s transfer.
Notably, Osimhen’s contract with the Serie A champions features a release clause of 130 million euros.
While Chelsea aims to include additional players in the proposed deal, PSG seeks to defer the payment of the release clause.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen underscores their quest for a seasoned goal scorer to fortify the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
