Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, has sent a farewell message to Donny van de Beek after the midfielder confirmed his exit from the Red Devils.
Van de Beek signed for the Premier League club in 2020, joining from Ajax in a £35million deal.
But the Dutch star failed to impress at Old Trafford.
Van de Beek made only 62 appearances during a four-year spell at Man United.
He went out on loan to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt in recent seasons and will now join LaLiga side Girona this summer.
Reacting, Fernandes, who joined in January before Van de Beek’s arrival, sent a message to his former teammate on social media.
“You deserve the best,” the Portugal international posted with the addition of a red heart.
