Paris Saint-Germain coach, Luis Enrique, has explained why his team was defeated 1-0 against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi-final first leg tie on Wednesday night.
Niclas Fullkrug scored the only goal of the match against the Ligue 1 champions in the first half.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Erinque said PSG were a little less intense in attack against the home side in the first half.
“It has been an exceptional atmosphere for the two teams and in Paris we will be supported by our audience,” Enrique told reporters.
“Our goal was to press. We have tried to defend ourselves on their right side and defend their long balls. They are a very well-worked team.
“In the first half, we were a little less intense in attack, in the second it was totally different.”
PSG will now hope to overturn the narrow deficit in the return leg at the Parc des Princes next week.
